While working in the fields of textile and design we have noticed how fun, useful and simply enkindling the activity of handcrafting from waste is. Together with our children we have discovered the interest of bringing textile waste to a new – functional and beautiful – life.

When we started to creat upcycling products, we wanted to interest children and help them acquire the necessary skills to incourage them to practice live sustainably and bring their creative ideas to reality. From our own experience we know that children are different, so the crafting process may be different too. One child may feel proud to work independently, while another may ask an adult for help, and enjoy the pleasure of teamwork. With the guidance of an attentive adult, these kits can even be therapeutic. 

Sewing kits help to develop concentration, logical thinking, and determination – for both – adults and kids. With all these skills and a drop of creativity we could repair, remade our textile that it would last longer. When creating upcycling products, we think about their added value to our surroundings. We think about nature creations, their hobbies, superpowers and how our simply everyday actions are related to nature conservation.
